We're passionate in making genetics a more accessible field for all students.
Our Genetics and Genomics Club delves into the core principles of genetics, focusing on the structure and function of genes at the molecular level. We explore the building blocks of life, genes, examining genetic variation and the mechanisms of heredity within living cells. Students are also introduced to genomics, and are taught to apply bioinformatic tools to research microarray data.
At the end of the year, students apply the knowledge they have learned throughout the year into an annual expo, where they have the opportunity to present their findings and delve deeper experimentally into genetics. Learn more about club activities here.
Our main chapter is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, led by Grace Li.
